An Unfair Trade
Marvin’s bike skidded to a stop in the front yard. “Hi, Grandpa.” He called to the elderly man sitting on the front porch. Grandpa looked up from his Bible and greeted Marvin. “How was the bike ride, Marvin?” Grandpa asked.
“It was great! The bike you bought me for my birthday is the best in the neighborhood!” Marvin exclaimed. “I wouldn’t trade my new bike for anything!”
Confessions of a Sneaky Toddler
As a young boy I had a knack for getting into mischief. My mom has all kinds of funny stories about me when I was between 18 months and three years of age. One morning my mom received a call from a neighboring apartment at 6 O’clock in the morning! “Will you come get your son! He just woke me up in my apartment!” As an early riser I had pulled up a chair to the front door, unlocked three locks, opened the door, shut it behind me and went exploring. It’s a good thing that ladys’ apartment was unlocked or I might have wandered outside!
